Maestro Ikhlaq Hussain is a sitar virtuoso from a centuries-long line of influential musicians of the Delhi Gharana school, dating back to the early 13th century and including his father and teacher, the late Ustad Imdad Hussain. He is also a disciple of the legendary sitar master Pandit Ravi Shankar. Ikhlaq plays in the Gayaki Ang style, reproducing the nuance of the human voice, perhaps the most difficult form of playing the sitar.
Pt. Gourisankar a leading tabla Maestro of the present generation. He is an A grade artist of All India Radio and Television. He has toured internationally for the last 30 years and has performed with numerous eminent musicians. In 2008 he established the School of Indian Percussion and Music in Austin, Texas. His playing styles reflect a unique combination of the Farukhabad, Punjab and Delhi schools of tabla playing.
