Mika Singh
Mika Singh, the prolific songwriter, singer, performer and composer was born and brought up at Durgapur situated in West Bengal, India. Mika Singh is a Sikh and he was born with the name of Amrik Singh. Ajmer Singh, his father was an amateur wrestler as well as a classical musician while Balbir Kaur, his mother had a great interest in the field of folk music and she had also been an amateur wrestler at the state level.

He started getting trained in music since his childhood days. When he was 8 years old, he started playing the tabla and at the age of 12, he also began learning how to play the harmonium. Then again, at 14 years of age, Mika Singh started playing the guitar as well. Initially he used to sing kirtans but later on he moved up the ladder and he became a renowned bhangra/pop artist.

In the year 1998 when he was just 21 years of age, he released his very first album called ‘Sawan Mein Lag Gayee Aag' which was an instant success for him. Following ‘Sawan Mein Lag Gayee Aag', Mika Singh released numerous other hit albums like ‘Dunali', ‘Gabru', ‘Something Something' and ‘Ishq Brandy'.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mika Singh came out with numerous chartbusters, all from his films and private albums.
